Would highly recommend. Incredible peaceful serene place. Felt like an adventure walking the long stretches of the beach with no one insight and a huge huge beach front. So many places to explore and relax. There are guest houses and a penguin sanctuary too. Beautiful place. Truly worth a visit.
Most beautiful clean and serene beach - lots of rocky and some sandy areas, great for a walk.
I only went to take some sunrise photos, therefore I cannot comment on the lighthouse itself, however it looks amazing from the outside, would love to inside sometime.
Did a sunset beach cleanup with SANCCOB a while back (have a look at their FB page for updates/dates for these activities).
Beautiful place inside an amazing nature reserve. The waters are teeming with natural life like hermit crabs and some strange pink/purple kidney shaped plant, gorgeous nonetheless.
The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 is that the gatekeeper at the entrance thought we were dumb and actually tried to bribe us to pay him something when the sign clearly says "DONT PAY THE GUARD". Watch out for this terrible person
Absolutely beautiful.Unspoilt beach.light house is beautiful.A hidden gem.
Absolutely gorgeous. The trail was about 9.5 km kid friendly it wasn't steep at all, very easy to follow. Highly recommend it especially early morning would definitely do it again.
Interesting place. The staircase is steep but it's worth the trip up the steps. Amazing view on top. Would of been great to hear a bit of history while taking the tour.
Friendly reception by Nash and Loodt, Nash knows the history of the lighthouse and surroundings very well, and has an absolute passion for conservation of this landmark and the nature surrounding it.
Amazing views from above, a climb not for the faint hearted but so worth it if you can.
Nash was so kind as to guide us to other must see spots within the reserve.
Support their conservation efforts by visiting the site and please buy their gorgeous caps, the money goes towards their conservation efforts.
This lighthouse begins your experience with the Cape Receife Nature Reserve. A beautiful, untouched area of Port Elizabeth
